As CAN Renewables is a new enterprise, it combines services with its sister company, CAN, a long-established specialist structural, civil and geotechnical engineering contractor. That means we offer a collaborative technical approach to installation and operation and maintenance. Through working closely with RSK sister companies, we understand the challenges facing the energy sector and can bring together a wealth of experience in taking renewable energy schemes from concept to reality. Owing to its multitude of difficult-to-access techniques, CAN Renewables can access virtually any part of any structure in a minimally invasive way. This includes working at height, in confined spaces and accessing areas otherwise inaccessible by traditional means.
Clearing and preparing the ground for installing ground solar power developments such as solar farms is a vital step for achieving green energy. As an experienced ground engineering contractor, we have the specialist in-house team of de-vegetation operatives, earthwork operatives and accompanying equipment to complete groundworks projects effectively, efficiently and promptly.
Although solar farms generate vast amounts of electricity, their potential to produce energy is only as great as the care and maintenance they receive. Through the technical expertise of CAN Renewables, general maintenance is administered by field specialists on the ground or from height.
CAN introduced industrial rope access into the UK almost four decades ago. Since then, we have remained at the forefront of the industry. Working with the Health and Safety Executive, we helped to introduce the publication of BS 7985:2002 Code of Practice for using rope access methods for industrial purposes. We are a full member of IRATA, all our rope access personnel are IRATA qualified. We work strictly by the IRATA International code of practice.
